Trip tips.
I absolutely loved this national park. It is so picturesque and full of life. >> Here is a basic travel Itinerary for you.
Let's start from the beginning.
- Day 1. We flew into Las Vegas to go to Yosemite National Park. Flights are cheaper and so are rental cars. I know it may sound like a long drive BUT it really isn't if you go along with my game plan.
- SO... fly into vegas, get a hotel room, win some money playing slots, use the money to pay for your trip. Go out and about but stay hydrated because the adventure will start in the morning. Also, Mary Jane Falls is close to Vegas so you should hit that hike up.
- Day 2. Wake up early and hit the road. Drive towards California and detour through Death Valley National Park. Wow awesome idea right. Two National Parks in one trip. You really only need a day in Death Valley because it is so hot you probably won't last outside the car more than 20 minutes.
- PACK A COOLER. PACK TOWELS. (when we would stop to eat and drink we put towels up in the windows so the sun wasn't beating in on us) BRING SUNBLOCK.
- After DVNP, we drove towards Yosemite and got a hotel room. There isn't a lot of hotels around the area on a budget but we stayed in Bridgeport.
- Day 3. There is a cute hotel called Walker River Lodge. The hot water situation isn't that good but the rooms are perfect and there are nice views. (First world problems) Really cute town too!
- Side note: there aren't many dairy free choices in this town. Bring your own coffee creamer.
- We woke up early, got some groceries and packed our backpacks for Yosemite.
- Get to this park early because the line to get in is very long. A lot of traffic. I would also suggest spending at least 2-3 days here. There are some long hikes and a lot of camping spots. Make the most of it. Super fun park.
- I collect coffee mugs from all the parks I go to. It is a really cute idea and they make my morning better. The memories will be with you during every sip.
- Drive back to vegas and fly out. That's about it.
